Kids Fleece Pajamas

Cold floors, cold mornings, and a child who refuses anything scratchy — that is what this set is for. A girls’ two-piece loungewear set in soft half-fleece: warmer than a cotton knit, lighter than a thick blanket fleece, so it stays comfortable all evening. The top has a doll collar in black-and-white stripes with a stitched lace bow, and both pieces are cut long so wrists and ankles stay covered. The fleece is low-shed and tested for pilling, the black does not bleed into the white, and it dries fast and comes out of the wash smooth without ironing. There are no neck cords, in line with children’s sleepwear rules. Sizes 2T–12Y. MOQ 100 pieces, sampling 7–10 working days, bulk 25–40 days.

Girls’ Coral Fleece Loungewear Set — Everything Parents Ask

So what is this set, exactly?

It is a girls’ two-piece loungewear set for autumn and winter: a long-sleeve top with a doll collar in black-and-white stripes and a lace bow, and matching long pants. Both pieces are cut long, so they cover the wrists and ankles, and both are made from a soft half-fleece that feels warm the moment it goes on. It is the set for cold floors, cold mornings and the long evenings between dinner and bed.

What does “half-fleece” mean, and is it warm enough?

Half-fleece sits between a jersey and a heavy blanket fleece. It is thicker and warmer than a cotton knit, but lighter and less bulky than the thickest fleece on the market, which is what makes it comfortable to wear indoors all evening rather than for ten minutes. On really cold nights it goes under a duvet without feeling like too much, and in a heated room it does not make a child sweat. That balance is the reason we chose it.

Is it itchy? My daughter refuses anything scratchy.

That is exactly what we tested for. The fleece surface is soft and fine, not wiry, and the inside is smooth against the skin — there is nothing on the inside of the set that can prickle a child’s neck, arms or legs. The seams are the part that usually causes complaints, so they are stitched and finished so nothing rubs, and the label sits where it does not scratch. If your child normally pulls at a collar, this is the set that stops that.

What is the collar like?

The collar is a doll collar, which is the small rounded collar that frames the face, and it is trimmed in black-and-white stripes with a lace bow at the front. The neckline underneath is a simple round shape, so the collar sits flat rather than standing up or pressing on the neck, and the bow is stitched down securely — it is a design detail, not a loose accessory that can come off.

What about the black-and-white stripes? Will they bleed in the wash?

They should not, and we check before shipping. Black is the colour most likely to bleed, so the yarn is dyed to a colourfastness standard and the finished set is washed with both colours together before bulk production to confirm that the black stays black and the white stays white. Wash it with similar colours at a low temperature, and it will keep its contrast instead of turning grey.

Is it easy to care for? I don’t want anything high-maintenance.

Fleece is one of the easiest fabrics to look after. It does not crease the way cotton does, so it comes out of the wash looking smooth without ironing, and it dries quickly because the fibres absorb very little water. Wash it cold or at 30°C on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low or hang it up, skip the bleach, and do not iron the fleece — heat flattens the surface and takes the softness out of it. That is the whole instruction list.

Does it shed or pill?

A cheap fleece sheds fibre onto pyjamas and bedding and pills under the arms within a month. We specify a low-shed fabric and test it before bulk, and the fabric is also checked for pilling at the friction points: under the arms, at the cuffs and where the waistband sits. What you receive is tested after the same wash cycle the customer will use, so the care label tells the truth.

How is the stitching?

Evenly, and that is not a small detail on a child’s garment. The seams run straight and consistent, the thread tension is controlled so the stitching does not pucker the fleece, the thread ends are trimmed and secured so nothing works loose, and the hem is finished so it does not curl after washing. The set is also shaped so the shoulders sit properly and the sleeves do not twist — the sort of thing you notice when a child wears the same outfit every night for a week.

Why long length, and how long is it exactly?

Long is deliberate. A short fleece set leaves the ankles and wrists exposed, which is where children feel the cold first, so the pants finish at the ankle and the sleeves cover the wrist. It also means the set keeps working as a child grows — there is no gap at the waist and no riding up overnight. The length is confirmed on the sample in each size, and the size guide lists body length, sleeve length, waist and inseam in both centimetres and inches.

Is there any safety detail I should know about?

Yes, and it is the same one that applies to all children’s sleepwear: we do not use cords or drawstrings at the neck. The set closes without a neck tie, there are no small detachable parts, and the bow is stitched flat. Children’s sleepwear is regulated in several markets — in the United States it must meet flammability requirements — so if you are buying for export, the testing documentation should be confirmed before the order, and we can supply the reports with the shipment.

What sizes does it come in, and how do I choose?

It runs from [2T–12Y], or [90–160 cm], and it is graded to your own size chart if you are ordering for a shop. For parents, choose by height rather than by age, because children of the same age vary a lot: the size chart lists the recommended height next to each size. If your child is between two sizes and sleeps cold, take the larger one — fleece is forgiving and the extra room keeps the ankles covered.

What colours and prints can you make?

The sample is white with black stripes on the collar and cuffs, which is the version that suits almost every child and photographs well. The same set can be produced in other combinations — cream with grey stripes, pink with white, or a printed pattern on the body — and the fabric and trim colours are matched to your reference and checked under D65 light before cutting, so repeat orders stay consistent.

I’m ordering for my shop — what are the minimums?

100 pieces per colourway, with mixed sizes accepted in a single order. Sampling takes 7–10 working days per round, and bulk production runs 25–40 days after sample approval and deposit. The fleece weight, the collar trim, the bow, the labels and the packaging can all be developed to your own specification, and carton markings and barcodes are produced to your artwork.
