Girls’ Cotton Pajamas
Girls’ cotton pajama set in a soft blue-grey, made for the older 8–14 age range where the cute sets stop and the plain ones begin. It is 95% cotton with a little stretch, so it breathes and feels soft against the skin, and the stretch means it moves with her and springs back instead of going baggy at the knees. The long-sleeve top has a princess-style trim, and the pants are cut to match, so the set looks pretty without feeling like a costume. The fabric is pre-shrunk and tested for shrinkage, colourfastness and pilling, and it is made without neck cords. Sizes 8Y–14Y (130–170 cm). MOQ 100 pieces, sampling 7–10 working days, bulk 25–40 days.
Girls’ Cotton Princess-Style Loungewear Set — Everything Parents Ask
Who is this set made for?
It is made for older girls — the 8-to-14 age range, roughly [130–170 cm] — who have outgrown the little-kid prints but still want something pretty to wear at home. This is the age where sleepwear usually becomes boring: the cute sets stop at size 8 and the adult sets are too plain. This set sits in that gap. It is a long-sleeve top and matching pants, in a soft blue-grey, with a princess-style detail that feels special without being childish.
What does “princess style” mean here?
It means the design details, not a costume. The top has a gently shaped silhouette with a soft neckline and trimmed edges, so it looks considered when she walks past a mirror, and the pants are cut to match rather than being plain. It is the sort of set a girl chooses herself: pretty enough to feel nice, simple enough that she will actually wear it every night.

What is the fabric, and how does it feel?
95% cotton. Cotton is the fibre parents trust for children’s sleepwear because it breathes, it does not build up static, and it feels soft against the skin — and this set keeps the cotton content high, so it behaves like cotton should rather than feeling slick or synthetic. The surface is smooth and dry to the touch, and the inside is comfortable enough to wear directly against the skin.
Why is there a small amount of stretch?
The remaining [5%] is elastane, which gives the fabric a gentle stretch. It is not there to make the set tight — it is there to make it comfortable. A little stretch means the top moves with her when she reaches for something, the pants give when she sits cross-legged, and the fabric springs back afterwards, so the set does not go baggy at the knees or the elbows after a night of sleep. It also makes the set easier to pull on and off.
Is the thickness right for autumn?
Yes — it is a regular thickness, which is the weight that works for autumn and for the in-between weeks at either end of winter. It is warm enough for a cool bedroom without being heavy, and it breathes well enough that she does not wake up clammy under a duvet. On the coldest nights, it works as a base layer under a warmer set or a dressing gown.

Will it shrink, fade or pill?
Cotton can move in the first wash if it is not treated, so the fabric is pre-shrunk or washed before cutting, and shrinkage is checked on every size before bulk. Colourfastness is tested as well, so the blue-grey keeps its tone instead of fading after a few washes, and pilling is tested at the friction points — under the arms, at the cuffs and where the waistband sits. Wash it cold with similar colours, dry it flat or on low, and it will keep looking the way it did on day one.
Is it comfortable to sleep in?
That is the point of it. The seams are finished so nothing rubs at the shoulder, the arm or the waist; the neckline is shaped so it does not ride up during the night; and the waistband is elasticated and covered in fabric so it does not dig in or leave a mark. The set is also cut with enough room to roll over and sit up comfortably, which is what makes the difference between pyjamas a child keeps on and pyjamas she takes off at midnight.

What about the stitching and the trims?
The stitching runs evenly through the seams, the neckline and the hem, with the thread tension controlled so the fabric is not puckered. The trims are attached with a flat seam so they do not scratch, and the thread ends are trimmed and secured rather than left to work loose. On a garment that gets washed twice a week, that construction is what decides whether it lasts a season or two.
Is it safe for sleep?
It is made without cords or drawstrings at the neck, in line with children’s clothing safety requirements, and there are no small detachable parts. Children’s sleepwear is regulated in several markets — in the United States it must meet flammability requirements — so if you are buying for export, the fit and the testing documentation should be confirmed before the order, and we can supply the reports with the shipment.

How do I choose the right size?
Choose by height rather than by age, because girls of the same age vary a lot. The size guide lists the recommended height next to each size, along with chest, waist, hip, body length and inseam in both centimetres and inches. The set runs from [8Y to 14Y], or [130–170 cm]. If she is between two sizes and prefers a roomier fit, take the larger one; the fabric has a little stretch, so the smaller size is also wearable for a slimmer child.
What colours and styles can you produce?
The sample is a soft blue-grey that photographs well and suits both younger and older girls in this age range. The same pattern can be produced in ivory, dusty pink, sage, grey or navy, with the trims matched to the ground, and it can be developed with a different neckline trim, a different bow or a printed body if you want a second version of the same style. Colours are matched to your reference and checked under D65 light before cutting, so repeat orders stay consistent.

Can it be personalised for my shop?
Yes. The set can carry woven or printed labels, a hangtag, a barcode and your carton markings, and the fabric weight, the trim, the packaging and the size range can all be developed to your own specification. If you want the set positioned as a gift, we can produce it in a printed sleeve or a small gift box instead of a poly bag.
I’m ordering for a shop — what are the minimums?
100 pieces per colourway, with mixed sizes accepted in one order. Sampling takes 7–10 working days per round, and bulk production runs 25–40 days after sample approval and deposit.
